Childnet Submits Evidence to US Inquiry Aug 2000

Childnet International has submitted a 12 point plan for keeping children safe online to the United States Commission on Online Child Protection, known as the COPA Commission. The Childnet plan is based on the experience the organisation has gained over the last five years in children's use of the Internet and especially online safety. It emphasises that a comprehensive strategy is needed rather than some single simple solution and that responsibility for online safety needs to be shared among parents, the Internet industry and governments.
