A guide for Trainee Teachers and NQTs

Many Trainee Teachers and NQTs use social networking services (SNS), such as Facebook and Twitter, in order to stay in touch with friends and family. This guide is designed to support your personal use of these services, keeping you, your students, and your job safe.

For NQTs and Trainee Teachers entering the profession, technology is a vital part of your professional and personal lives. The checklist has been designed to ensure that you are ready to face these challenges whether at school or at home, in the classroom, or in the wider school community.

E-Safety resources matrix

The resources matrix is a guide to some of the resources available to teach pupils about e-safety at each keystage. Teachers should use the resources at their discretion, thinking carefully about whether the content meets the needs of the pupils in their individual classes.
