Know IT All

for Trainees

Welcome to Childnet’s Know IT All Website

Know IT All for Trainees has been designed to help teachers in their initial teacher training become aware of the e-safety issues relating to their pupils’ use of the internet in the classroom and doing homework.

A major pilot programme was carried out in February 2007 with some 400 secondary teacher trainees reviewing the Know IT All content as part of their teacher training programmes in Middlesex, Brighton, Canterbury and Southampton universities.

The result of this evaluation was the following report:

This microsite is under development and will be launched in September 2007. It will contain essential content for trainee teachers about e-safety. The site is designed to be used in conjunction with a DVD resource for tutors which will be sent to all teacher training institutions in UK.
