Protect your children: Check what parental controls and help are offered by your internet or mobile service provider.

Schools: Talk to your school about the steps they take to keep your child safe when in their care and the advice they give to your child on how to protect themselves when they use the internet outside of school. The school will have policies about safe and responsible Internet use, including an Acceptable Use Policy, (outlining the ways in which children and staff can and cannot use the ICT at school), as well as an anti-bullying policy.

Report Abuse: If you suspect an adult is trying to contact your child on the internet you can report it through the The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP).
