Jo, aged 40

Jo likes using mobiles for keeping track of her daughters. She has two daughters, Carrie and Sophie, who both have hectic social lives. Jo drives them around so much she’s thinking of putting a sign on the car which says 'taxi'! She has a mobile phone which helps her keep in touch with her daughters and find out where they are and when they need picking up! Carrie’s taught Jo how to text which is great for keeping in contact without embarrassing her in front of her friends!

Carrie, aged 14

Carrie likes using mobiles to get video and sound. She's 14. Last year her mum let her buy a mobile so she could keep in touch with her, but it does loads of other great things too. It’s one of those 3G phones which means she can send and receive pictures and even video clips. The camera’s great too. Carrie can use her mobile to get onto websites. She’s just put a Pussycat Dolls ringtone on, which she downloaded straight onto her phone for £1.50. Carrie normally goes into town on Saturdays to meet up with her mates and go for a bit of shopping and a gossip. She texts her mum to let her know when to come and pick them up. She can now get her to wait in the car around the corner!
